Parent School Support Committee (PSSC)

As required by the New Brunswick Education Act, our school has a Parent School Support Committee, or PSSC. A Parent School Support Committee (PSSC) is composed of parent and community members who work in an advisory capacity with the principal and staff. The purpose of the PSSC is for all members to work with the principal to enhance student learning and development, and to enrich the educational experience of all children by increasing family and community involvement. 
  
Any parent of a child attending this school, except employees of the Department of Education, is eligible to stand for election to the Committee. Efforts will be made to include individuals who reflect the diversity of the community. 
  
Elections are held early in the school year. Details will be included in a parent newsletter. 
  
We try very hard to make this a "Community School" and encourage all parents to become familiar with the school building and to get to know the staff members who will be dealing with your children. 
  
Parents/Guardians are urged to support this Committee to make this a truly Community School.
