Hello! Today is Monday, September 12th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with some messages for Raiders and their families.
We continue to update our database, so if you are receiving this message in error, my apologies. We hope to have all info updated before next week.
I would like to compliment all of my Raider families. We had an absolutely fantastic first week of school with a wonderful bunch of students and we have been praising them for such a great start. This doesn’t happen without family support so I thank you as well!
So, down to business.
Please make sure to review your child’s agenda with them. The front of the agenda contains our student handbook and there is lots of information there for families as well. The agenda should be signed on pages 16 & 17 and, along with the information sheet, returned to your child’s homeroom teacher. If your contact information changes during the school year, please make sure to send us the updates.
Families are reminded that students should not be arriving at the school before 7:55 in the morning and must arrive before classes begin at 8:40. Also please do not enter the bus lane when dropping off or picking up students. Please use either of the lower parking lots or remain on the other side of the concrete planters out front. This procedure is for the safety of our students and your cooperation is much appreciated.
We would also like to remind families not to text or call your children during class time. If necessary, contact the office and we will make sure your message gets passed along. The main line for the school is 738-6500. Otherwise we ask you to limit texts and calls to mornings before 8:40, during lunch, or after 2:30 dismissal.
Mark the date on your calendar…..School Pictures are scheduled for Friday, September 23rd.
Also, the Grand Bay-Westfield Terry Fox Walk is scheduled for the RVMS Track this Sunday, September 18th from 1-3 pm. All are welcome! Please consider coming out for a walk in support of Cancer Research.
