Hello! Today is Monday, February 27th and this is Ms. McGrath calling with messages for all Raiders and their families.
Thank you to all families who attended our 40th Anniversary celebration last week. We had a great evening! A special thank you goes out to the staff who organized and volunteered at the event and to our student leaders who served as hosts for the evening.
I have a ton of information today. I am sure you will appreciate it in quick point form.
I do want to remind all families that students must be in attendance at school in order to attend after school or evening events sponsored by the school.
1. Our school Heritage Fair is set for tomorrow evening, Tuesday, February 28th at 6:00. Student work from each participating classroom in the school will be on display. Winners will advance to the District Heritage Fair.
2. Our Much Video Dance is scheduled for Wednesday, March 1st. Cost is $5. Chef Frank will provide snacks. We will begin at 6:00 but will extend our dance to 8:30 for this very popular event.
3. If you are a member of the basketball team, don’t forget to see Lauren or Cara in the Tech Lab to place your order. Collages are $12 each.
4. Volleyball season is set to start soon. Girls Tryouts are tomorrow, Tuesday, February 28th and Friday, March 3rd from 2:30-4:30. See Mrs. Sawyer if you have any questions. Boys tryouts will take place after March Break.
5. Mr. Vincent’s business students are taking orders for cookie dough and for pizza and roll dough every day this week. Each order is $5. Place your order in the Tech Lab in the morning and pick it up on your way out at the end of the day. These are great items to have on hand to feed all those hungry teenagers next week!
Finally, I have been asked to remind all staff, students and visitors to remember that schools are scent free environments. Please do not bring or use scented items at school and avoid wearing clothing that has been sprayed with scents.
Next week is March Break and after that we are quickly into Home Report season!
