Hello! This is Ms. McGrath calling with the final message for Raiders and their families for the 2016-2017 school year.
Thank you to all who attended our Award Ceremony today. It is one of the highlights of our year-end celebrations and a great way to stop and acknowledge our Gr. 8 students as they proceed on to High School in the fall.
I wanted to review a few items:
All students will receive their Final Report Cards tomorrow morning. If they are absent, Report Cards will be available in the school office tomorrow afternoon and on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
There are a few inserts in Report Cards for Gr. 6 & 7 students. You will receive a copy of the School Supply List for September. This is posted on the website as well.
There is also a parent brochure about the new Middle School Report Card. Beginning next year, the new report card will finally reflect current assessment practices and will use a four point grading scale. The Brochure is also posted on the main page of our website. There will be much more information available in September and we are always happy to answer any questions you may have about assessment and grades.
I have posted the School Calendar for 2017-2018 on the website and there is a letter from the Office of the Superintendent explaining the changes to Professional Development days for the next school year. These changes are reflected on the calendar.
The first day of school for Gr. 6 and Gr. 9 students is Tuesday, September 5th. All remaining students will have their first day on Wednesday, September 6th.
Our school office is closed for the summer from June 28th and we will be “back in business” on August 22nd.
