Hey Raiders!
Week 2 and things continue to move along smoothly
at RVMS!
I have a few messages for families:
1. We continue to work with the
District to update our bus information but we still have many errors in the
system. Please check the bus information regularly at the website below. You
can also sign up to receive notifications of any changes/corrections to your
child’s bus info. https://asdsbp.nbed.nb.ca
2. Please help us keep our Raiders
safe. Do not enter the bus area (past the concrete planters) during morning
drop-off of after school pick-up. Students can meet you in either of the lower
parking lots or over by the rink but you cannot enter the area between the
traffic circle and the building as this poses a safety hazard to our students.
3. Please register your child in
Cashless Schools (click on the “make a payment” button on our homepage). This
system is used for all sports and activity fees, trip payments, yearbooks,
student fees etc. Being registered before you need to, insures that your child
does not miss some of these opportunities.
4. Speaking of Cashless Schools,
our student fee is $35 and is now due
for all students. We will not ask you to do any fundraising during the
school year, but that does mean that it is really important that student fees be
paid. This money goes to support some of the activities, trips, awards, equipment
etc. that need to be purchased each year to support the many, many
opportunities we provide our students.
5. Our Open House/Meet the Teacher
is scheduled for next Thursday, September 19th from 6:00-7:30 pm.
6. Bayside Middle school has a
speaker booked Thursday, September 26th to discuss consent and risky behaviour
in the era of social media. The topic is specific to Middle School concerns.
