Student Behaviour
Students are expected at all times to treat the school property, their teachers, fellow students and themselves with consideration and respect. Following are some specific expectations.
- Students should be punctual for class.
- Students are expected to complete all homework assignments and be responsible for catching up on work they missed.
- Students are not permitted to smoke or have any illicit substances (including alcohol) on school property. Any student who smells of an illegal substance and every student who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be immediately suspended.
- Students are not permitted to fight under any circumstances.
- Harassment of any nature will not be tolerated.
- Cheating on tests, exams and projects is forbidden and will result in parents being notified and no value being given for the work.
- Outdoor clothing, hats and knapsacks should be left in lockers.
- All cell phones, MP3 players, etc. must be turned off during class time.
- Students are to park by the Rothesay Arena only. Cars are not to be parked in the staff area adjacent to the gym entrance or outside the cafeteria entrance.
- The use of profane language is not acceptable. Any student caught swearing could result in disciplinary action.
- Students who arrive late during period one must go directly to their first class. Students who arrive after first period must sign in at the office with an excuse for their tardiness. Students who leave school during the day must sign out at the office with an excuse explaining their reason for leaving.
