March 12
Tuesday, March 12, 2019

Hi everyone,

It’s Lisa Jardine calling from Leatherbarrow Primary School with your Tuesday talk mail.
Yesterday, we sent home a letter asking if you could send in some STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) supplies. Examples of what we are looking for are listed in the letter. Thanks to all of you who have already sent in things!   Nobody gets more excited than us when we see tape, egg cartons and coffee filters and plates coming through the door! Please continue to send in these items throughout the year so that we can continue to offer STEM opportunities.
The sun is shining and it finally feels like Spring may be around the corner. Please continue to dress your child warmly as it is still cold in the mornings. As it gets wet on the playground, it is a good time to check and make sure that your child has at least 1 complete change of clothing, including extra socks and mittens at school.
On Friday, our grade 2 students are travelling to Elmhurst Outdoors. Please ensure permission forms have been returned.
A reminder that James Mullinger is headlining our spring fundraiser on April 25th at Hampton High school. We still have a few tickets left so contact us if you would like to make a purchase.
Our March newsletter and calendar are included in this email. Please take some time to review what is happening this month.
That’s it for today! Thanks for listening!
