TOWN-WIDE YARD SALE FUNDRAISER
Home and School will be participating in the Hampton town wide yard sale on Saturday, May 27th. On that day, Home and School members will have a BBQ, face painting and will be selling the gently used items that you have donated. Home and School is also renting tables for anyone who would like to take part in the Hampton town wide yard sale. The tables will be set up in our gym. The cost per table is 10.00 and the deadline to register for a table is May 12th. Home and School is also looking for volunteers willing to help out the day of the yard sale and the evening before. Please visit their Facebook page or contact the school if you are able to help.
Canada Games Activity Challenge
What an exciting afternoon we had on February 15 when Bo Hedges, Canadian Paralympian wheelchair basketball player visited us to promote the Canada Games Activity Challenge, show us his superior shooting and dribbling skills and answer a few student questions. His visit was due to our registration in the Challenge and being drawn from over 4000 schools across Canada!
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to be part of this great program,” says Hedges. “I feel that it is crucial to get children active at a young age in order to begin to build their foundation for a healthy and active life.”
Robert “Bo” Hedges credits mental preparation and training as the keys to his success in wheelchair basketball. Combine that tireless work ethic with his prolific shooting touch, and it’s no wonder that Hedges has proven to be a force on the basketball court at every level of competition.
