​Hi everyone,

It’s Lisa Jardine calling from Leatherbarrow Primary School with your Tuesday talk mail.
Report cards were sent home yesterday. I have read all the report cards and I am so proud of how well our students are progressing. Despite all the interruptions we have had at school, teachers and students have continued to work hard and students are continuing to make positive gains. Thank you for all you have done to support this growth this year. 
You may have read in our April newsletter that tonight, the district is holding a virtual French Immersion Program information night from 7:00-8:00pm for parents of students entering grade 1 and grade 6 next year. Although the current model for FI will continue next year, the model will change in 2024. Over the next year, the Department will be seeking feedback from many stakeholders, including parents for a new delivery model. You can find more out about the current FI model and how to register for next year, this evening during the virtual session. 
Parent/teacher sessions will be held in person on Wednesday, April 13th from 4:00-7:00pm and virtually on Thursday, April 14th from 8:30-11:00am. If you are unable to meet during these times, please contact your child’s teacher about scheduling a virtual meeting at a time that is mutually convenient. 
There will be no school for students on Thursday, because of Parent/teacher, and no school for students on Friday or Monday because of the long Easter weekend.
