AARAO Tour for Parents (The Atlantic Association of Registrars and Admissions Officers) THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20th
The Atlantic Association of Registrars & Admissions Officers (AARAO) Tour will host a walk- about- booth session for parents on Thursday, October 20th from 5pm-6:15pm in the Main Gym (enter through gym doors). You will have the chance to see the various schools that are available to students from the Atlantic provinces (41 will be there), meet with recruiters, ask questions, and explore options for post-secondary plans. Brochures are available from the recruiters as well.
Grade 11 & 12 student will then get the opportunity to attend on Friday morning (October 21st) with their classes.
If you would like to be considered as a FHS LORAN Nominee, please submit activity resume to Guidance by Friday, September 30, 2016 at 8:30am.
Late submissions will not be considered, but application through the direct pool is still available. Please see the Loran website, loranscholar.ca
Important Notice for All Graduates
-Grad fee is $120. Here are just a few of
the things that the fee covers:
- shipping the Caps and Gowns from Winnipeg
-renting the Caps and Gowns to you
-rental of the Aitken Center
-rental of all AV equipment
-other costs associated with graduation
You can bring your fee to your homeroom
teacher at any time. Deadline for
ordering the Cap and Gown is March 31, 2017.
If you pay your grad fee and you do not graduate you will get a
refund of $60. Please see Mrs. Wright
for your refund. The remaining $60 is
used to cover our present costs and cannot be applied to next year’s
Guidance will be hosting our Grade 12 parent information session about Scholarships on Thursday, September 22nd at 6pm. It will last 20 mins and then they will be dismissed as our school’s Open House is from 6:30-8pm. Students will get the same information on Wednesday, September 21st during period 3. UNB, STU, and NBCC plan to attend for the parent session to answer individual questions.

Course changes (essential only; hole in schedule, unbalanced, post-secondary requirements, previous failed courses not accounted for, and missing pre-requisites) must be discussed with your homeroom teacher on the first day of class. You name will be added to a list and you will be called down. Due to high volume at this time we will be unable to make course changes via email or phone.
If you are a new registration, please call (506)453-5435 and indicate that you are a new registration when you call, as August 31st is for new registrations only (if you are a NEW INTERNATIONAL student please read below). Please bring documentation (ask administration assistant for details) and your legal guardian with you to your appointment to avoid a delay in enrollment.
