​Apologies for my delay in posting; there were technical issues with the teacher page.

On Monday and Tuesday of this week we finished up reading The Alchemist. On Wednesday we watched a related video featuring Will Smith discussing the change in focus of his life after having read this novel. We also heard some personal essays from the "This I Believe" organization website, and then students began to write their own "This I Believe..." paragraphs.

Today students received all handouts (See Documents section) to begin working on the literary essay and in class they had time to compete organization. Students were instructed that over the break they should NOT work on this paper, but that they may want to begin searching for online sources related to their chosen topic.
