The entire student body at Nackawic Middle School took part in this year's Heritage Fair with projects focused on an appreciation for Canadian history.
"The Heritage Fair is a cross-curricular opportunity for students to explore, in more depth, a topic of their choosing related to our Canadian heritage," said Principal Kathy Anderson. "These projects can give the students a sense of place and belonging, and foster an appreciation for Canadian and New Brunswick history. They are able to learn more about their community, while also developing and expressing their creative talents."
Projects from the students included models, collections, demonstrations, debates and public speaking, music, computer presentations, oral interviews and more. Teachers selected projects from each classroom to compete in the school- level heritage fair.
