Principal's Message ~ Saturday, June 17th, 2016

Forest Hills School

We Build Inclusion, Capacity, and Learning Communities

June 17th, 2017

This is a message from Mrs. Savoie, principal at Forest Hills School.

It’s hard to believe that we’re headed into the last week of school!  We have lots of different trips and school based activities planned for this week.

Our annual fun day will be on Thursday morning and Home & School will be providing pizza.  Please bring something to drink, comfy shoes and wear sun block!

The Grade 8 end of year celebration will be held on Thursday, June 22nd at 5:15 and the final grade 6-8 dance will be from 6-8PM.

As you know, the last day of school, June 23rd, will be a half day for students.  We will be dismissing students at 11:45 and busses will be arriving as soon as they can after that.  Home Reports will only be given to students at dismissal time.  If a parent would like to pick it up earlier on Friday, the parent can do so.  They can also be picked up in the office on the 26th or 27th, 9-3.

There was a community meeting at FHS on Wednesday regarding a proposal for a Splash Pad to be built at FHS.  The City is looking for the community’s feedback.  Any feedback you can give will help us get the best outcome for our children.  This is a fantastic opportunity. Please take a moment to complete their online survey at www.saintjohn.ca/foresthills .  They are looking for feedback on what the splash pad should include, lighting, city bus stops, washrooms, a possible addition of a skate park, and anything else that you can think of.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Parks & Recreation or Councillor Strowbridge directly.

Remember Falcons, be respectful, be responsible, and be safe!
