Principal's Message ~ Friday, November 24th, 2017

Forest Hills School

We Build Inclusion, Capacity, and Learning Communities

November 24th, 2017

This is a message from Mrs. Savoie, principal at Forest Hills School.

Thank you to the families who were able to join us for student led conferences.  We look forward to a great term two!

We are still collecting new and gently used items for our annual Christmas Flea Market.  Please drop off items to the office anytime up until December 6th.  Thank you for your support with our FHS Christmas Families Project!

The Hillsong Choir will be preforming in the Empty Stocking Fund this Saturday.  Performers should be at SJHS by 3:15 and are scheduled to perform at 4.  We know you’ll do a fantastic job!  They will also be donating $300 and several filled Christmas boxes to help make Christmas a little brighter for children in our community!

Hillsong also has rehearsal on Sunday from 1-4 and a Rogers TV performance at the Portland United Church on Tuesday at 6:30.

The Elementary Christmas Concert Schedule has been posted on our website.  Please have a look to see when your child’s class will be performing.

The Saint John Division of Canada Post would like to announce that they will be hosting a community tree lighting event at their Canada Post facility at 125 Rothesay Avenue in Saint John this Thursday, November 30th from 5 to 6 pm.

This will be a rain or shine event so we will be extending our public business hours to 6 pm and offering children of all ages an opportunity to personally drop off their Santa letter to one of his postal elves.  Santa himself may even make an appearance!

They will be offering complimentary cookies, candy canes, hot chocolate and popcorn and hope to see you there!

Remember Falcons, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe!

Have a nice weekend,

Melissa Savoie
