Blood Drive - March 21st

On Monday, March 17th and Tuesday, March 18th representatives from Canadian Blood Services - What's Your Type program will be visiting Simonds High from 12:35 - 1:20. They will be set up in D Lobby. To bring awareness to blood donation, they will be offering students the opportunity to have their blood type determined. The procedure takes less than a minute and simply involves a small pin prick to the finger, drops of blood are then mixed with solution to determine blood type.

Students 17 or older, will also be encouraged to sign up to donate blood Friday, March 21st, as Simonds High will be hosting a blood donor clinic. Students and teachers are encouraged to visit the Canadian Blood Services website for more information.

Students are encouraged to sign up for their appointment before Friday, March 21st in the office. They can sign up starting Monday by going to see Mrs. Noftell in the main office (morning, at lunch or afterschool). There is no sign up necessary for the "What's Your Type Clinic" on Monday and Tuesday. If students have specific eligibility questions for you they should call 1-888-2-DONATE to ask a Nurse.
