Simonds Remembers D-Day

Llewellyn (Lewie) Kernighan, grade 11 enriched Modern History student researched & produced this video as part of his final assignment.  Lewie was mentored by Stephen Wilson, a Simonds High School alumni, & retired history teacher.

The subject of Lewie's research was infantry soldier Arthur Strang, a member of the North Shore Regiment, NB's contingent to the Canadian troops participating in the D-Day landing on Juno Beach. Strang was killed alongside Major Archie McNaughton, who was featured on the recent Historic minute.
