​Hello Seabee Community!

This is the first official weekly newsletter from Simonds High School.  First, let me begin by letting you all know just how excited I am to be joining this incredible family.  Already so many of you have reached out with warm wishes and kindness.  Thank you for this!  I will tell you that I come to Simonds High School with a tremendous amount of pride, enthusiasm and experience.  I can’t wait to learn and grow together as a Seabee community.  I’ve been a principal for almost 15 years, spending my time mostly in the North End of the city at both Hazen-White/St. Francis School and Princess Elizabeth.  Please know that my door is always open and you can reach me via email or phone anytime. 

I’ve attached for you the school calendar for this year for your reference as you may be planning out the year ahead, our school website and twitter account are continually updated with the most up to date information.  Please make sure to give us a follow @Simonds_HS on twitter.

Student fees are payable online: SchoolCashOnline.com: Welcome these fees are available to be paid online now.

Looking ahead to the first week of school we are offering a staggered start for students.  The schedule is as follows:

 - Grade 9’s Tuesday September 7th

 - Grade 10’s Wednesday September 8th

 - Grades 9-12 Thursday September 9th and Friday September 10th 

We will be doing course changes by grades for those students who need them, your patience with us as we work through those will be appreciated!  The staff is working hard this coming week to get ready and all set up to receive our Seabees and can’t wait to get to meet/work with you all!  Please don’t forget that all students are expected to have a device (tablet, laptop etc) with them at school as well as basic school supplies.
