Mission Statement: The mission of St. Malachy’s Memorial High School is to create an environment in which students excel academically and to provide a safe and supportive community which encourages growth and contribution to the larger community.

Vision Statement: St. Malachy’s Memorial High School is committed to educating the whole person.  Through a rigorous and comprehensive program of studies we prepare students academically, socially and morally to assume their places as conscientious, involved and contributing members of society.

Congratulations to the Cast and Crew of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.  What a fantastic show!  The long hours of rehearsal paid off!  Special thanks to Directors – Mrs. Jennifer Mabey and Mr. Chris Stacey, Musical Director, Miss Katherine Branscombe, Technical Director, Mr. Ryan Murphy, Artistic Director Ms. Kim Horgan, Producers, and Mrs. Natasha Peddle, Set Construction, Mr. Tim Nichol and Props Mr. Nathan McFarlane.  Thanks to Mrs. Brenda Brown, Mrs. Katherine Beckingham and Mrs. Chris O’Leary for their work with ticket sales and other behind the scenes tasks.  Finally, special thanks are extended to all students and staff who contributed in so many ways.  Heartfelt thanks to parents/guardians for their ongoing support.

Our St. Malachy’s Girls hockey team finished up their seasons over the weekend competing for the Provincial title.  Congratulations to the team on a great season.  Thank you to our girls’ team coaches, John Wills, Gary Crossman, Jillian Purcell, Megan Haggerty, Manager Kellie Delaney and faculty advisors Mrs. Richard, Mrs. Thompson and Mrs. Mitchell.

Parent Teacher Interviews St. Malachy’s will hold its evening Parent Teacher interviews this week Thursday, March 30th 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM and the afternoon session will be held on Friday, March 31st from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Schedule for the week:

Monday March 27th Regular Schedule: **8:00 AM – CLT Meeting in the Learning Commons. ** Grade 11 Meeting in the Auditorium during advisory period

Tuesday March 28th Regular Schedule: ** Grade 12 Meeting in the Auditorium during advisory  ** 3:40 pm  Staff Meeting in the Learning Commons.

Wednesday March 29th Regular Schedule:  ** 9:15 ESST meeting – Guidance Center

Thursday March 30th Study Hall/ Saints in Action Schedule – Schedule as follows P1, P2, Study Hall/Saints in Action, P3, L, P5, P4.  **4:30 PM – 7:30 Parent Teacher Interviews

Friday March 31stNo Classes for students – Professional Learning for teachers in the morning and Parent Teacher Interviews in the afternoon 1:30 – 3:30 PM

Apply to NBCC in Grade 11: Applications Open on April 1, 2017!

 Information Session on Wednesday, March 29 at 12:00pm

 

There will be an information session for Grade 11 students interested in attending NBCC on Wednesday, March 29 at 12:00pm. A representative from the college will be present to discuss programs and the application process. Interested students can sign up at the Guidance Centre.

 

Spring Performance Tasks are just around the corner, April 5th through April 12th.  The schedule has been distributed to all students and is posted to our Website.

A friendly reminder that Grad Fees ($120) are due.  Please see Mrs. Chris O’Leary.
