Mission Statement: The mission of St. Malachy’s Memorial High School is to create an environment in which students excel academically and to provide a safe and supportive community which encourages growth and contribution to the larger community.

Vision Statement: St. Malachy’s Memorial High School is committed to educating the whole person.  Through a rigorous and comprehensive program of studies we prepare students academically, socially and morally to assume their places as conscientious, involved and contributing members of society.

I would like to thank our students, staff and alumni for a wonderful Terry Fox Run – “Run for Ray” event held on Friday at Rockwood Park.  Ray’s entire immediate family plus other relatives were able to join us again this year.  Even with the weather not cooperating fully the family atmosphere was wonderful making for a great event.  In the end, the school raised over $ 5,000 and still counting for a great cause.    Thank you again to all who took part in this year’s Terry Fox Run - “Run for Ray” event.

In the spirit and support of truth and reconciliation, tomorrow Monday October 1 it is Orange Shirt day at St. Malachy’s.  In honour of Orange Shirt Day and in the spirit of healing and reconciliation, there will be a screening of the feature film Indian Horse beginning at 12:30 in Room 220.  It will require 2-3 sessions to watch the entire film.

Congratulations to St. Malachy’s Golf team who competed in the Regional South/West tournament in Hampton on Friday during some challenging weather conditions. Members of this year’s golf team are James Quinn, Margaret Quinn, Grant Richards and Elijah Dollar.  I would like to thank our coach Mr. Kevin Quinn for supporting the team.
