Graduating Students

Students who are graduating this year but who do not plan to attend the ceremony should inform Mrs. O'Hara as soon as possible.  Students who do plan to attend the ceremony should pay their Grad fee ($125) to Mrs. O'Leary in her office this week, as the final gown order will be placed soon.

Grad BBQ is Monday, June 3th from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Yearbooks to be given out.

Remember that Prom tickets will be available exam week and you must pay your fee in order to get your tickets.  Each graduating student will receive two tickets automatically for the Graduation ceremony on June 20th.  Students can request extra tickets in the main office.  We fill the extra ticket requests buy drawing seats out to be as fair as possible.

Safe Grad. What is Safe Grad? It is a drug free, alcohol free, smoking free, and vaping free grad party that takes place after the ceremonies. This year we are going to the Aquatic Center from approximately 10:15 until midnight then we will go the Bowlarama for bowling, pizza, treats, prizes and fun. We will return to the school at 2:30 am where you can get picked up.

·         You must travel with us by school bus. You are not permitted to drive yourself.

·         Once you step outside of Safe Grad you are not permitted to come back in.

·         Safe Grad costs $25 which includes all the activities, snacks, prizes, pizza, and a T shirt. In order to guarantee a spot Grads must sign up by June 4th as buses need to be ordered and the number of buses needed is determined by the number of grads who have signed up by June 4.

** SPECIAL NOTE ** There is talk of a graduation party happening again at Shakedown Ranch following our prom.  To be clear – THIS IS NOT A ST. MALACHY’S EVENT.  This is an unsanctioned event. Parents and guardians need to be aware of the risk involved when numbers in excess of 600 people of all ages are consuming alcohol and drugs in an open unsupervised event.  Please talk to your student.

The Alumni Dinner is June 14th, tickets are $20 for grads.  Tickets can be purchased in the main office.

St. Malachy’s Graduation Date is Thursday, June 20th at the Imperial Theatre.
