Vision Statement: St. Malachy’s Memorial High School is committed to educating the whole person.  Through a rigorous and comprehensive program of studies we prepare students academically, socially and morally to assume their places as conscientious, involved and contributing members of society.

Congratulations to the Senior Girls Volleyball team on an amazing season that ended last weekend at Regionals hosted in Fredericton at Leo Hayes High School. Thank you to our coach Mrs. Cathy Simon and assistant coach Ms. Jill Corey and our faculty advisors Ms. Kyra Marks and Mrs. Roz Richard.

 

I would also like to congratulate the Jr. Girls Volleyball team on a great season.  Season highlights included the Southern conference championship and qualifying for the Provincial championship.  Thanks are extended to our coaches Mrs. Lisa Brideau and Ms. Julie Marr and faculty advisors Mrs. Monique Carr and Mr. Jon Dauphinee.

 

Thank you to all students who ran for SRC Executive positions for the upcoming school year.  The following will represent St. Malachy’s next year: President – Greg Robinson, Vice-President- Julia Evans, Spirit Representative- Kaitlyn Keleher, Grade 12 Representative – Laura Small, Grade 11 Representative – Lauren McGrath, and Grade 10 Representative- Alivia Warr.  Interviewed positions for Secretary, Finance and Promotions Manager and Technology Manager will take place this week.

Varsity Boys Rugby team finished their season on Saturday with a loss to RCS Netherwood in the Southern crossover playoff. Thank you to our coaches Greg Horgan and Lloyd Murphy and our faculty advisor Mr. Aaron Abbott.

othon NB 2017 competition wrapped up last weekend at UNB Fredericton. Team members were Dustin McKee, Abigail Hamilton, Elliott Sullivan, Madison Thorne, and Hailey Colwell.

 

There will be an information and volunteer recruitment session for the YMCA Newcomer Connections group at noon on Wednesday in the Learning Common.  All interested St. Malachy students are welcome to attend.

 

25th – 6:30p.m. – Bishop Bray Gymnasium – Dinner and Presentations, proceeded by the AP Art Show and Sale and demonstration of “Maker- Concepts and Designs – 5:30p.m.  Tickets -$12.00…join us in recognizing those who have achieved so much.  Tickets for this event are now on sale in the Student Services Center – RM. 118.

 

The Kick-off for the Booster Club’s E-Flea auction will also go online following the Machy Awards.
