Anglophone
West School District will host information meetings for parents of students who
wish to learn more about the French Second Language Programs available in the 2018-19 school year.
The
program options are:

Grade 1 Entry French Immersion Program
·
Grade 3 Entry French Immersion Program
·
Grade 6 Entry Late French Immersion Program
·
Intensive French Program
The information
sessions will be held at:
·
Fredericton High School (theatre) on December 4 at 6:30 p.m.
·
Leo Hayes High School (library) on December 4 at 6:30 p.m.
·
Woodstock Education Centre (Saint John Room) on December 6 at 6:30 p.m.
·
Southern Victoria High School (theatre) on December 6 at 6:30 p.m.
·
Oromocto High School (theatre) on December 12 at 6:30 p.m.
Parents who wish to enrol their children in
the Grade 1 entry, Grade 3 entry or Grade 6 entry French Immersion Programs
will be required to complete the electronic
registration form.
Registrations received by January 30, 2018 will inform planning
for formation of classes (as per provincial Policy 309).
The Department of Education and Early
Childhood Development also has information about French Second Language
Programs online,
including a brochure and a video.
Please note: No child can be admitted to a French
Immersion Program if that child has attended a French school and/or is already
able to function in French.
