Hello,

With our application deadline quickly approaching we just wanted to send a quick reminder in case you had any students in mind that may be interested in our Marine Mammal Camp 2016. Taking place August 6-15, this camp is open to students ages 14 - 17 and is an excellent opportunity for youth with a keen interest in marine life to gain hands-on research experience alongside marine mammal experts. Presented by Saint Mary's University's Faculty of Science and the Canadian Whale Institute, it will take place at two locations: Saint Mary's in Halifax, NS, and Campobello Island, NB. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2016.

The cost of the camp is $1500 and includes accommodations, nutritious meals/snacks, transportation to and from camp activities as well as supplies and materials for all research activities and experiments (with the exception of appropriate weather-related gear for rainy conditions). A limited number of bursaries for students with financial need are available and our bursary application can be provided upon request.
