Those unable to attend during assigned time

One member of a family (student or parent) will enter through the Brunswick Place door (Staff Parking Lot) and wash hands in the female washroom just inside the door.  A staff member will greet you at the door and can provide locker numbers and combinations if they are needed.  You can then go to the locker to retrieve items, and leave through the front doors.  Students will leave their lockers opened after they emptied and leave the lock inside the locker.

If there are textbooks or other school items inside the locker which the student does not require, they should be placed on the tables in the main hallway on your way out of the school.  At this point, we do not want students to return books currently at home.  Information on the return of all school materials will come at a later date.

Staff members will be on each floor to ensure social distancing is maintained and that people are leaving the school as quickly as reasonable.

Please arrive with a bag which can be used to collect your items, and adhere to the schedule so we can ensure a limited number of people are in the school at all times.

If your student has medication or an Epi-pen at school, please email me (michael.butler@nbed.nb.ca) so we can ensure this is available for pick up at the same time as other items.

Parents will not be permitted to retrieve the belongs of any student other than their own unless arrangements have been made ahead of time through an administrator.

School Athletic Uniforms

Uniforms can be returned on Wednesday and Thursday.  They should be placed inside plastic bags and placed in the bins which will be at the Brunswick Place entrance.  Staff members will have lists of uniforms and will keep track of those which are returned.

Scholarship Applications

There are still some scholarship application deadlines which are coming up during the month of May.  Information is updated and available on the school website under Students – Scholarships.

Student Email Accounts

Many students are not accustomed to using their school email account regularly.  During this time, however, many teachers are using these email addresses to provide course materials.  A quick guide to accessing these email accounts is attached here:  Outlook Document for Students.pdf

Post-Secondary Information for 2020 Graduates

The school district sent out this information previously, but we wanted to ensure families were aware of how different post-secondary institutions in New Brunswick are recognizing Enrolled and Credit designations based on the courses students are currently completing.  Please take time to share this with any graduate who will be heading to post-secondary within the province in the fall.  For institutions outside New Brunswick, you should reach out to them directly for information.  Post-secondary Information for Grade 12 April 2020.pdf

Student Loan Information

Although the student loan information sessions in New Brunswick high schools have been cancelled, the presentation slides are available through the following website: www.studentaid.gnb.ca.

The link is titled: Presentation – Single dependent students and can found on the home page directly under “Information guide”.

If any students have questions they should contact the toll free teleservices number at 1-800-667-5626.
