(and e-mail any questions to hes.healthylunch@gmail.com)

Healthy Lunch Program and Home & School Information
At HES we use an online ordering system for our healthy lunch program.  You must register an account and your student(s) to be able to order lunches.  Please note that you will have to reregister each year.
Here’s How:
1.     Go to hes.hotlunches.net
2.      Click the "REGISTER" menu at the top right hand corner to sign up.  Our school access code is HES.
3.      Enter your name, email address and phone number, then a user id that you will use to login to the hot lunches website.  Enter a password and then enter it again to verify that it is correct.
4.      Once registered, you will be logged into the website.
5.      Please add your student(s) by clicking on the "STUDENTS" button below or the "PROFILE" menu tab in order to proceed. Once your student(s) have been added to the system you will be able to place lunch orders immediately by clicking the "Order" button below each child's name.
6.      You can find detailed registering & ordering instructions along with screenshots on our Facebook page!  You can also find details on our menu items as well as pictures of some of the items on Facebook.
                                                              IT’S THAT EASY!
Important Information:
·        Orders must be made using the new on-line ordering system.  Paper forms will no longer be sent home with students.
·        The first healthy lunch period is Sept 25th to Oct 31st. Orders and payment are due by September 20th.  No late orders or payments will be accepted.
·        Starting November 1st all orders will cover a calendar month and are always due by the 20th of the preceeding month (for example, the period for November will be November 1 – 30 and will be due by Oct 20th.)  All orders and payments must be received by the 20th of each month so that orders can be processed on time.
·        If the 20th falls on a weekend the order is still due on the 20th and payments are due on the last school day before the 20th.
·        Payments will continue to be made by cash, cheque or eTransfer.  If paying by cash or cheque simply print off the remittance voucher that the system provides you and include it with the payment in a sealed envelope or baggie.  Alternatively, you can simply write your child’s name and class on the outside of the envelope if you are unable to print off the remittance form. The important thing is that we can identify who the payment is for.  If paying by eTransfer please use lunch123 as your password.  Remember to include your child’s and teacher’s names in the comments.  No need to send anything in to the school.
·        No late orders can be accepted.  Any unpaid orders will be cancelled and you will be notified by email only
·        Once an order is submitted and paid it cannot be changed.  If your child is absent you are more than welcome to pick up his or her lunch at the school office.  If school is cancelled then a credit will be issued for all who ordered online for that day.  Please note that it is an account credit that will show up in your online account and can be used towards future online orders and NOT a cash refund.
New This year:
·        We are sticking with 2 of our favourite vendors this year – Angelo’s Pizza & Mama Georges but you will also notice a new (to us) vendor called L.O.U. Services.  They are based in Saint John and specialize in healthy and child friendly school lunch options.  Not only are their meal choices dietician approved but they were also taste tested by HES students who loved them!
·        You will notice on the menu order form this year that some days have 2 different healthy lunch options!

Not participating in hot lunch?  We still encourage you to register even if your child does not participate so that you are able to receive emails and reminders from the Home & School regarding movie days/nights, teacher appreciation, volunteer opportunities, Big Fair Day, etc.
Still have questions, suggestions for feedback? Please email your Home & School team at hes.healthylunch@gmail.com
The Home & School Association meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30pm in the HES library.  All are encouraged to attend.  If you are unable to make our meetings but would still like to be involved we would love to have you!  Please send us your contact information and when there is a volunteer opportunity (like popping popcorn, decorating the float for the Santa Clause parade, supervising a school activity, etc) we will send out an email.  If you are available simply respond and let us know.  If you aren’t, no worries!  You are welcome to bring other children to most volunteer opportunities.  Thank you in advance!
