MP Long's office has an incredible opportunity for any high school aged students in the district. A national conference; the National Student Commonwealth Forum, or better known as NSCF. Held annually in May for the past 44 years, NSCF brings together approximately 100 Canadian high school students for a week in Ottawa. These young leaders of tomorrow will build leadership skills, while discussing and learning about international affairs and the role of the Commonwealth today.

Delegates will get the opportunity to meet with High Commissioners from various Commonwealth countries & participate in debates in the Senate and in a model Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting. They will get to explore the city of Ottawa, visit museums and speak with the city's movers and shakers. One of the highlights of the forum is the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association BBQ in East Block, where delegates get to meet with their MPs and Senators to discuss their experience and roles as parliamentarians.  The program is sponsored by Heritage Canada, the Royal Commonwealth Society of Canada and grants/ bursaries for the program are provided by provincial RCS Branches.

This year's theme is Immigration, Migration and Refugee Issues.  This forum has been an invaluable experience for thousands of young Canadians over the years.
