​Opening of school

It was great to see such a wonderful turnout at our Meet the Teacher event.
Here is the schedule for this week:
Tuesday our Orientation Committee will be here to welcome our incoming Grade 9 students.  They will begin their day in the auditorium – and then have time throughout the day to spend with each of their teachers, get to know the school and each other.  There will be a free BBQ at noon courtesy of our Student Council.
Wednesday all students attend.  Students will begin Wednesday and Thursday with an extended homeroom period – where all teachers will have time to get to know their students, and to review our expectations and procedures.
Friday is a regular school day.  There will be another free BBQ for all students on this day as well.
Student Fees are $40 per student. This fee covers Student Council organized activities throughout the year, and helps to subsidize guest speakers, transportation for co-curricular trips etc..  Students are required to use lockers for their personal belongings.  There is a one-time fee of $7 for a lock during their time at HVHS.  If you are paying by cheque, please make it payable to Harbour View High School.

If you wish to speak with Guidance or a Vice-Principal, they are assigned to students based on last name:
A-L       Mrs. Taylor (Guidance) and Mrs. MacDonald (Vice-Principal)
M-Z     Ms. Smith (Guidance) and Mrs. Curwin (Vice-Principal)
