When viewing student marks and attendance in PowerSchool, everything that appears in blue is a link to more information!  Clicking on a student grade will bring you to details for all assignments/assessments which have lead to that mark.  Likewise, by clicking on a number of absences you can see which days a student was absent.

 

GRADUATION PORTRAITS DATE CHANGE

Flewwelling Photography will be at HVHS to take graduation portraits the week of November 2nd.  The dates for each alphabet cohort have now changed as a result of the October 30th PL day.  Please note the new dates for each group.

November 2nd:  Now M – Z group

November 3rd:  Now A – L group

November 4th and 5th will be added if there is a demand.

 

Sitting fees:  $25 / 6 poses; $30 / 9 poses

This is a reduced price for on-sight portraiture. 

Portrait proofs and package information will be sent home with your graduate immediately following the photo session.

Flewelling Photography has provided their Covid Operational Plan, and all graduates will be expected to arrive wearing their masks and sanitize upon arrival.

Gowns and caps will be disinfected with an aerosol alcohol-based sanitizing spray, and masks will be worn by staff when social distancing is not possible.

Dress shirts and ties will still be available for students who may wish to borrow them, be we STRONGLY ENCOURAGE wearing your own.

 

Please encourage your graduates to sign up on the sheets located outside of Room 321.

UNB – Free online tutoring program

It’s not too late to sign up for free online tutoring with the UNBSJ Promise Partnership! The UNBSJ Promise Partnership is offering free online tutoring with UNB student tutors to high school students in the Saint John area on Monday and Wednesday evenings, 5pm – 7pm. High school students will log on to a Microsoft Teams video meeting in order to meet with their tutor, work on their homework and goal set for their future. Our UNB student tutors specialize in a variety of subjects and have been trained in online learning. School Photo Retakes

Retakes will take place on November 16 and 17.

 

Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs)

Students who follow PLPs should have received a paper copy this week.  Please read, sign, and return back to the school.

 

Cafeteria Closing

Unfortunately due to lack of sales, Chartwells will no stopping food service as several school cafeterias, including here at Harbour View.  Today was their last day of service.​
