Vaccinations

Good afternoon,

With the announcement earlier this week regarding rapid testing for unvaccinated students determined to be close contacts of a confirmed COVID case, having a more complete list of those students who have been double-vaccinated would be very helpful for schools.  Having this information will speed up the process for the school administration to get information to Public Health to assist in contact tracing.

We have already had many students provide proof of full vaccination over the past few weeks with the introduction of protocols around extra-curricular involvement.  We would now welcome any other student to bring proof of vaccination to an administrator (Mr. Butler, Mrs. Dumont, or Mr. McCaustlin).  We recorded only that proof was shown – we do not keep a copy of the record itself.

This can be either a paper version of the immunization record, a photo of the record, or from MyHealthNB website.

In the event of a confirmed case among our school commuity, one of the first things that the administration will be required to do is gather the vaccination status of all close contacts.  Having as much of that information as possible ahead of time will be a huge help with that process.

Thank you very much for your cooperation.
